Private. We do not save your postcode. Your browser sends it to the free postcodes.io service to find where it is. The search then runs on your own device.

Fair. We only show official facts from the care regulators. We do not rank places, show reviews or take money to list anyone. Places are in order of distance only.

Extra care and sheltered housing

These are for people who want their own front door, but need a bit more support than at home. They sit between living at home and a care home.

Our search only shows extra care schemes where the care team is checked by the CQC (England). There is no official national list of sheltered housing, so it is not in our search.

Where the facts come from

All data is from the official care regulators, under the Open Government Licence v3.0. Data last updated: see below. Ratings can change. Always check the regulator's report.

For home care, the address shown is the agency's office. They may cover a wider area. A place may be missing if it is new, or if its postcode could not be found.
