About our ads and affiliate links
In short
- Some shop links on this site are adverts. They are marked (Ad).
- If you buy through an (Ad) link, we earn a small amount. It does not cost you extra.
- Free and official help is always shown first. We never invent facts.
Why we show adverts
Social Care Made Easy is free to use. To help keep it running, some pages include affiliate links. That means if you buy something through one of those links, the shop pays us a small amount. You do not pay more.
Under UK advertising rules (the CAP Code, rules 2.1 and 2.4), ads must be clearly recognisable as ads. We mark every paid link with (Ad) next to it, and we put a clear notice above the shop picks on those pages.
How to spot an advert
- Look for (Ad) in the link text.
- Paid links tell search engines they are sponsored ads (they use a sponsored / nofollow flag).
- A yellow-bordered box near the products explains that those links are adverts.
Amazon
As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases.
We only list Amazon UK products we have checked and that had strong customer ratings when we looked (usually 4.3 stars or higher). Ratings can change. Always read the live listing yourself.
What we will not do
- We will not hide that a link is an advert.
- We will not put paid products ahead of free council, NHS or charity help.
- We will not recommend FCA-regulated financial products.
- We will not invent wait times, prices or eligibility rules.
Other money on the site
Some workbooks are free, or pay what you can, on Payhip. The Stripe “Support this site” button is a voluntary donation. Neither of those is an Amazon affiliate link.
